Wholesale prices are collapsing. Street prices have not caught up yet. This could be the best buying opportunity you will see for weeks. But only if you have the cash, enough security at home and the nerve to put that much money on the road.
Then Yara calls. Blue lights ahead. Police are checking cars and your merchandise is in her boot. Tell her to wait, take the risk or abandon the run? While you decide, another customer is about to walk away and your stash has just exceeded its security rating.
Lying Thieves: Amsterdam is a single-player open-world crime game about building a drug distribution network while driving through the same city in which every deal, pursuit and bad decision takes place.
Buy the crash. Survive the shortage. Trust the right people. Step in personally when they cannot finish the job.
You arrive with an ageing estate car, modest cash and a phone that never stays quiet. Your first opportunity is ten bags of weed from a radio DJ named David. Pick them up, stash them and handle enough customers to fund the next purchase.
Every product has a physical journey. Call a supplier, inspect the offer, drive to the pickup and get the merchandise safely into your stash. Sell it yourself or put one of your couriers to work.
Successful deliveries build reputation and attract better customers. Reject or fail too many orders and demand begins to cool. Keep stock moving, watch your margins and decide when a major deal is worth putting money and people at risk.
The business never exists separately from the city. Suppliers need visiting. Story jobs cannot be delegated. Couriers get into trouble. Police interfere. Sometimes the safest solution is to handle the job yourself.
Collect supplier shipments and complete physical handovers.
Drive passengers while full conversations unfold inside the car.
Shadow moving vehicles without losing them or raising suspicion.
Steal requested cars, evade the police and deliver them across the city.
Survive ambushes and carry out hits against people or vehicles.
Take over failed courier runs and recover deliveries already in progress.
Rush home and defend your stash when the operation comes under attack.
Failing matters. Lose a target, reveal yourself or die during an assignment and the job is over. Visible crimes raise your wanted level. Police pursue by car, search the road network and continue the fight on foot.
Eight products have persistent markets. Supplier availability moves wholesale prices immediately, while shortages take time to reach dealers and customers. Giant shipments and warehouse liquidations can flood Amsterdam with cheap stock. Police seizures, lab shutdowns and route raids can create shortages that last for days.
The economy advances during active play and never rerolls when you reload. Time, weekends, weather and customer confidence shape individual orders, while the underlying market remains readable enough to exploit.
Invest in Market Intelligence to reveal price history, availability, spreads and reputation. Live newsflashes reveal major events as they happen. The information is there. What you do with it is up to you.
Keep several orders moving while Daniel visits suppliers, handles missions or takes a valuable delivery himself. Five couriers bring their own vehicle, fee, personality and individual strengths and weaknesses.
Choose a quiet, balanced or fast approach and judge the risk before committing. Couriers gain experience and can improve over time, but no amount of training can make an illegal run completely safe.
When something goes wrong, the phone rings. A car loses power. A customer changes the price. Police block the route. Somebody threatens the cargo or the driver. Pay to solve it, accept a smaller margin, tell the courier to take the risk, cut your losses or turn the crisis into a physical objective and finish the delivery (or the customer) yourself.

Daniel's apartment is the physical centre of the operation. The more valuable the stock inside, the more tempting it becomes. Invest in security before your inventory grows beyond what you can safely protect.
Refits add visible cameras, lighting, reinforced access and eventually a security guard. If a crew gets through, get home and hold the location before your stock is violently stolen and the operation grinds to a halt.
Amsterdam's established criminals begin to notice Daniel while his own operation is already growing. Recurring characters bring personal conflicts, new suppliers and jobs that cannot be delegated.
A courier can call while you are halfway through a story mission. A valuable customer may be waiting while the police are looking for you. An opportunity in the market can appear while everything else is already going wrong.
The story does not pause the business. The business does not pause the story.
Explore a dense, creatively adapted recreation of Amsterdam within the Singelgracht, built for driving, pursuits and street-level gameplay. Traffic, pedestrians, bicycles, boats and police move through its narrow streets and bridges as day turns to night and weather changes the road beneath you. Take the calls. Read the market. Trust the right people. Solve the problems nobody else can. You're in charge.
In Amsterdam, every favour comes with a price. Eventually, you decide who pays.
