Take direct control of movement, aim and fire in a single-player top-down zombie shooter. Push into infected streets and facilities, rescue survivors and destroy outbreak sources while the horde closes in. Return to prepare your next operation.

Bring enough firepower

Choose pistols, shotguns and machine guns, or unleash a flamethrower and a portable quad-barrel Gatling gun. Use throwables, lights and active weapon attachments to make room when ammunition runs low. Buy, upgrade and modify your weapons, manage your pack and store supplies between missions.

Breach a new route

Break destructible wall sections, destroy key equipment and detonate fuel barrels to clear infected. Cut enemy lines of fire with cover and use lighting to spot threats in the dark. Watch for hidden entry points and attack warnings before deciding where to push.

Pick your hero and your partner

Unlock and develop four characters with distinct combat abilities and talents through play. For standard operations, choose a companion:

• Mini Tank: machine-gun and grenade fire support.
  
• Border Collie: supply collection, extra carrying capacity and healing support.
  
• Robot Dog: draws enemy attention and provides damage and armor support.

Fight through Afterglow District, Fog Harbor Plant, Rust Rain Refinery, Longwhistle Station, Iron Icon Citadel, Camp Ashfall and Memorial Park. Rescue survivors, demolish facilities, take on bosses and raid outposts. More battlefields bring new challenges:

• Terraced Freight Yard: move between raised platforms, ramps and launch pads while surviving escalating hordes.
  
• Battery Fortress: power support turrets, protect the helicopter above and reach it during the evacuation window.
  
• Beachhead Defense: repel infected landing forces and hold the beach and flanks to keep them out of town.
  
• Abandoned Waterpark: face hordes pouring down slides, repair generators and use separate electrical grids to hold your ground.
  
• Biochemical Hatchery: wait for the core shield to fall, destroy the central container, then clear the eggs and hatched monsters before time runs out.

Two-sided cards change every run

Each new run randomly draws a player bonus and an enemy enhancement. Both take effect after two minutes of active combat. Adapt your weapons and tactics to your bonus while facing stronger opposition. Card effects last for the current run, adding new twists to familiar battlefields.

Loot Arsenal: from one pistol to eight guns at once

Enter Memorial Park or the mode-exclusive Grand Parking Lot with a basic pistol. Collect timed map chests and spend credits earned from kills on more chests, gaining random weapons of different qualities with matching ammunition. Equip up to eight guns that fire together and reload independently as you build your arsenal through the horde.
Bring your chosen hero's learned talents and destroy every stone gate before the time limit. Weapons, equipment and resources last for this run. Standard operations offer their own long-term equipment progression and companion loadouts.
