I just finished Out of Hands, all endings and side quests. It’s a gem. A wildly original, deeply engaging game that deserves way more love than it’s getting. Unfortunately, there's currently a notable shoo against the game due to the use of generative AI. That’s a shame — because what the devs created here feels incredibly fresh, and I’d like to talk about why. Every game has a "creative burnout point". That moment where the ideas start to dry up. Sometimes it's at 30%, 50%, maybe 80% if you're lucky. Out of Hands just... doesn’t have one. It just keeps delivering, keeps being, much like The Talos Principle 2, where new mechanics and twists are introduced right up to the end. The variety and complexity of card abilities is incredible, and exploring the game’s eerie world is an absolute treat. The downsides? The art style may not be for everyone (though even that holds its own surprises). The music is repetitive. And of course, it’s horror — not light horror, either. You’ll need to be okay with the genre. Some wearable bonuses feel unbalanced or underwhelming. For context: I played on Nightmare mode, didn't use matches at all, I think this is actually an intended difficulty. To be able to see all endings, you’ll need to balance your affinities. Pay equal attention to all three “colors.” It’s worth the effort. Not precisely, just don't let anything slip too far behind. It is really ten out of ten.
