Explore five prehistoric oceans in VR, photograph 48 species, collect DNA samples, and expand your walk-in aquarium. Swim using natural arm movements, upgrade your equipment, and return to base before your oxygen runs out.
Explore lost oceans and research a world that vanished millions of years ago.
Paleo Dive is an atmospheric VR diving adventure that takes you through more than 500 million years of Earth’s history. Explore five handcrafted underwater environments—from a Cambrian lagoon and colorful reefs to dense kelp forests and the darkness of the deep sea.
Move your arms naturally to swim through the water, collect discoveries, and pull yourself along suitable surfaces. Keep an eye on your oxygen and return to the research base in time. On Normal difficulty, dangerous creatures can attack, and a failed dive will cost you everything you discovered during that expedition.
Your wristwatch displays your oxygen, depth, water pressure, and remaining collectibles. A holographic map and an unlockable Finder help you navigate your surroundings.
Photograph prehistoric animals with your underwater camera. Capture each creature from four different angles to unlock a rotatable 3D specimen in your archive. Your photographs are permanently stored in a personal gallery.
Use the DNA scanner to collect additional research samples. Once a species has been fully documented through photography and its genome has been completely decoded, you can release it into your walk-in aquarium.
Collect fossil and map fragments, coins, and rare Moon Rocks. Recovered items and completed research unlock new diving areas, while coins allow you to improve your swimming performance, oxygen capacity, and equipment.
Create your own loadout using the camera, DNA scanner, headlamp, Finder, and oxygen bottle. Finding Moon Rocks also unlocks a Night Mode for each area.
