A Lovecraftian horror dice-building roguelike. Cast dice from a cup, build wild combos from over 200 dice and over 100 Curios (items that give bonuses), and feed a table that wants a score, or watch your Madness climb. Sail eight depths as the cabin floods, then keep going in Endless mode.
Take your seat at The Drowned Table, a single-player, first-person Lovecraftian horror dice-building roguelike of strange tools and creeping Madness. You survive a shipwreck and wake in a lantern-lit cabin where a jade table wants a score and the sea wants in.
Each fight has a target score and limited casts. Fall short and your run ends. Start another; the table insists. Choose your dice, let a tentacle load your cup, and cast. An assortment of dice, backed by objects with a wild variety of effects, turns pairs, straights and full houses into big scores.
Build your pool from over 200 eldritch dice, nearly all with a power. One shoves its neighbor. Another splits into shards. Keywords like Soak, Chain, Growth and Bite make wild combos. Many are not cubes: some look like knucklebones, bell jars, eyeballs or lamprey coils.
Over 100 Curios hand out bonuses and fire from left to right, so seat the adders on the left.
Madness is a 0 to 10 meter with opinions about your score: casts peak at 5 and go downhill. Each fight, the table demands one thing, shown on a badge. Starve the table, clear the fight anyway, and Madness climbs by 3, plus a curse. Feed it and Madness drops by 2.
Sail down 8 depths to The Abyss as the sea comes in and the window light fades. Cosmic horror makes house calls: presences come into the cabin mid-fight, more often the deeper you go. Each does one bad thing: snuffs your lantern, jams a die in your cup, takes one from your bag. Rude. A Ward or 2 Discards sends one away.
The Drowned Table is in Early Access from October 26, 2026. All eight depths, from The Waterline to The Abyss, are included, and so is Endless. We expect Early Access to last about six to twelve months, depending on feedback and polish. That is an estimate, not a fixed date. We currently plan to keep the same base price during and after Early Access.
In the Early Access build:
Planned for updates, with no dates promised. Plans may change as we learn from players:
Expect rough edges until then: mixed art styles, some placeholder sound, and balance that will move. Feedback and bug reports go through the Steam discussions.
