Manual / Changelog (GitHub):
MobMate WhispTalk is a local voice assistance tool designed specifically for game voice chat.
It helps players who are quiet, shy, or prefer not to speak directly to still participate and communicate in online voice chat.
Unlike cloud-based services, all audio processing is performed entirely on your local machine, so your voice data stays private and offline.
Real-time speech recognition and anonymous voice output
Converts your microphone input into text, and then replays it as an anonymous spoken reaction.
Designed for in-game chat
Tailored to fast-paced multiplayer communication: quick reactions, short callouts, and fun interactions like laughter or tactical phrases.
Lightweight and offline-first
Whisper.cpp powers the speech-to-text engine locally, allowing near-instant processing without relying on internet services.
Simple and customizable
Comes with a flexible ignore list and dictionary filter – trim out filler words or customize reactions to match your style.
Speak into your microphone as usual
WhispTalk recognizes the speech locally
Your command or reaction is replayed through a selectable anonymous voice
Works with most communication platforms via virtual audio routing
This application does not send voice or text data online.
All recognition and transformation happens locally on your device.
Because speech processing happens locally, recognition accuracy may vary depending on background noise and speech clarity.
This tool is optimized for short reactions and quick chat cues rather than long dictation or transcription tasks.
Some players prefer not to use their real voice in multiplayer games — whether due to shyness, privacy concerns, or language barriers.
MobMate WhispTalk lets you stay engaged in voice chat without speaking yourself, helping you express reactions, callouts, and presence — all while keeping your identity private.
Quiet players can be loud.
Experimental: XTTS API support
MobMate supports XTTS-v2 (experimental) via external TTS APIs.
This enables multilingual and custom voice reactions for advanced users.
XTTS is not bundled. See GitHub for setup details.
