You are the sole emergency dispatcher aboard Relay Epsilon-9. Using an authentic 1980s retro terminal, track bio-telemetry, consult engineering schematics, and make life-or-death decisions to guide survivors through a breached vessel.
You are an isolated emergency dispatcher stationed aboard Relay Station Epsilon-9, stationed on the outer rim of Sector Tartarus. When the deep-core xenobiology research vessel USSC Borealis breaks quarantine, its surviving crew has only one lifeline: your terminal.
Sitting behind a 1980s monochrome phosphor CRT workstation, you cannot fire a gun, swing a wrench, or run. Your only weapons are diagnostic schematics, manual override codes, and the radio directives you transmit across 142.090 MHz.
Every prompt you send reverberates across the darkened corridors of the Borealis:
• Live Telemetry Monitoring: Track heart rates (BPM), oxygen reserves (O2), suit integrity, and stress levels in real time. Elevating a survivor's stress above critical thresholds causes panic choices, disorientation, and fatal insubordination.
• Manual Technical Lookups: Decipher cryptic engineering documentation, airlock formulas, and frequency calibrations directly from the on-screen manuals to clear physical obstacles.
• Terminal Command Parsing: Type manual terminal overrides directly into the CMD> prompt to bypass compromised bulkheads, cycle bio-scrubbers, and disengage magnetic docking clamps.
Story 01: Dr. Elena Vance — Senior Xenobotanist waking up trapped inside a burning Cryo-Bay, racing against airborne spores and rapid biological incubation.
Story 02: Warrant Officer Marcus Hale — Shipboard Security Chief escaping a breached Brig block, evading automated riot turrets and neural parasites.
Story 03: Chief Maintenance Tech Jada Ryder — Blue-collar mechanic fighting through flooded server shafts, hydrostatic locks, and an acid-spitting weaver horde.
There are no simple good answers in deep space. Rerouting power to save suit oxygen leaves blast doors unsealed; retrieving vital corporate research black boxes exposes survivors to biological infection.
Each campaign branches across four distinct ending types:
• Rescue: Guide the survivor safely through the gauntlet and dock at Relay Epsilon-9.
• Sacrifice: Overload your own station's reactor to obliterate the organism, saving the survivor at the cost of your life.
• Infection: The survivor reaches safety... but brings an uncontained nightmare through your airlock door.
• Signal Lost: Oxygen starvation, blind panic, or creature encounters cut comms to flatlining dead air.
